The invention relates to an overshoe made of rubber, which is envisaged in particular for sport shoes. For simple handling, it is proposed that the side walls have, running around approximately in the front half of the overshoe, a constant height which corresponds at least to the height of soles of conventional sport shoes, and that the side walls extend rising slightly in the rear half so that they form a cap which is drawn inwards slightly in its upper part, and that the shoe is otherwise completely open upwards, omitting any fastening straps etc.
