The installation for storing and displacing self-carrying pallets in a warehouse with superposed shelves having cantilever arms (11/12) is moved in alignement with beams (11) of successive shelves thereby beneficiating the storage capacity of the warehouse which is thus increased. It comprises raisable bridges (31) leading to the beams (11), on which there are arranged carriages (34) displaceable transversally to the shelves, respectively against the beams, and provided with a plate-form (341) projecting in the shelves. The protuberant portion (341') supports the lower shoulder (212) of the two superposed shoulders (211, 212) spaced between each other and arranged on the front part of the pallets (21), the upper shoulder (211) forming the support shoulder of the stored pallet (21), resting on the bracket (12) of the shelf. |
