PURPOSE:To perform chlorine injecting operation under automatic control, by a method wherein three operation means are mounted and a phenomenon due to the change in the intake of raw water is divided on the basis of the flow amount signal during a treatment process to be judged and corrected. CONSTITUTION:A first operation means 3 inputs not only the process value RC of the concn. of residual chlorine in filtered water in a water purifying treatment process 1 but also the objective value SV of the concn. of residual chlorine in filtered water at a contact point 2. The feedback correction quantity DELTAS of a chlorine injection ratio is calculated from the objective value SV and the process value RC and outputted. A second operation means 5 inputs the process values of the intake quantity Q1, water arrival quantity Q2 and filter quantity Q3 of the water purifying treatment process and flow amount setting values QA, QB, QD, QE and the state of the water purifying treatment process 1 is judged on the basis of said values and results are outputted. A third operation means 7 calculates the set value Sn of a chlorine injection ratio to transmit the same to a chemicals injector 8.
