A device for power control in electrically heated domestic apparatuses, especially in electrically heated cooking points (1, 2) in each case having a temperature selector switch for the power controllers (3 and 4) allocated to the cooking points (1, 2), and having a timer (5) with automatic switching on and off for the cooking point heating, as well as a device for setting the cooking duration and presetting the time for cooking to start. In order to prevent operating errors when using the timer (5), an automatic input device (6) is placed in the circuit for the power controllers (3 and 4) and timer (5), into which automatic input device the respective data for a cooking procedure can be entered in digital form. <IMAGE>
