SEALING METHOD FOR VALVE BONNET FLANGE PART

PURPOSE:To prevent the leakage of inner fluid out of a bonnet flange part in a sluice valve at the gate of a recycling pump for a nuclear reactor by providing an O-ring for obtaining a double seal structure. CONSTITUTION:A seal for a bonnet flange part of a sluice valve at the gate of a recycling pump for a nuclear reactor is constructed by inserting a bonnet gasket 7 and a metallic O-ring 9 between a valve box 5 and a bonnet 6 and fastening them by a fastening bolt/nut. Even if the bonnet gasket 7 is worn off to cause a leakage, the sealing by the metallic O-ring on the outer circumference prevents the leakage to the outside.
