In an electromagnetic relay which has an armature (3) which is supported such that it can pivot about an armature supporting axis (4), is permanently connected to at least two sprung contact supports (5, 6) supporting moving contacts (7) and which is pressed by a spring (10) against its support, the armature (3) is supported such that it can pivot about a further axis (16) in order that all the contacts (7, 8) can make contact reliably even in the case of incorrect adjustment of the same, which axis (16) lies at least approximately at right angles to the first-mentioned armature supporting axis (4) and in a plane lying parallel to the movement plane of the moving contacts (7). <IMAGE>
