<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a good running stability at the time of running ahead as well as a good responsiveness at the time of steering by providing a blind area for the range where the steering angle of a handle varies from zero to a predetermined angle whereby controlling the width of the blind area variably depending on car speed. CONSTITUTION:A means C which changes the steering angle ratio (transfer ratio) of a wheel B to the steering angle of a handle A, a car speed detecting means D, a handle steering angle detecting means E, and a control means F which outputs a control signal to the actuator C' of the means C in such a way that the transfer ratio is changed in the manner of a predetermined characteristic depending on car speed upon receiving a signal from these means D and E, are provided on the transfer path of steering force which steers the wheel B in response to the steering of the steering handle A. In the a aforementioned constitution, a blind area is provided to the control means F for the range where the steering angle of the handle varies from zero to a predetermined steering angle. Furthermore, a variable blind area width means G which changes the width of the blind area depending on car speed, is provided.</p> |
