Process for producing decorated ceramic products

To save energy and personnel costs, attempts are made to produce decorated, glazed ceramic products by a single-firing technique, the ceramic mass and glazing powder being compressed simultaneously in two layers, decorated and fired at 900 to 1250 DEG C. Glazing layers which can be decorated before firing, are obtained if a binder present in the aqueous phase and consisting of polymeric organic compounds having glass transition temperatures between -50 DEG C and +80 DEG C is added before compressing to the glazing powder.
