The aim of the invention is to indicate a process for producing isocitrate dehydrogenase in the course of which an activity of the enzyme of 1 to 3 U/min is achieved even in the crude protein extract. The object is regarded as being the use of a microbial enzyme source in cooperation with a novel technology to provide the required enzyme with high activity. The object is achieved by preparing the enzyme isocitrate dehydrogenase from the strain Pseudomonas putida ATCC 17633.
