The multi-chamber plastic window is to be employed unchanged in new and old house building with different window mounting methods and at the same time is to increase the light entry area of the window frame. This object is achieved in that the lower window-frame profile has on the outside, approximately in the middle, a groove, in which is inserted one longitudinal edge strip of a covering batten, the other longitudinal edge of which is supported on the top side of the window ledge, and the connection means for connecting the lower window-frame profile to the window ledge extend transversely relative to the plane of the window frame.
