PURPOSE:To increase pattern operating speed, by reading out data of respectively corresponding divisions in two picture processing areas from two memories and executing pattern operation processing in parallel by (n) arithmetic units. CONSTITUTION:Patterns of respective divisions obtained by dividing each pattern processing area into (n) parts like a matrix and stored in blocks 1-n of the 1st memory 11 and the 2nd memory 12. A control unit 13 reads out data of respectively corresponding divisions in two areas A, B from the blocks 1-n of the memories 11, 12 successively or in parallel. Arithmetic units (14-1)-(14-n) process the pattern operation for the blocks 1-n in parallel under control by the control unit 13. Processed results of the arithmetic units (14-1)-(14-n) are stored in the blocks 1-n of an output memory 15 respectively. |
