PURPOSE:To aim at miniaturizing a fixture for fastening the peripheral flanges of a closed container with the container being openable and as well to aim at making the fixture light weight and enhancing the work efficiency thereof or the like, by providing such an arrangement that the container flanges are directly fastened with the use of a fixture body and a retainer. CONSTITUTION:In order to air-tightly seal between a container 1 and a cover 1' a gasket 12 is disposed in a recessed groove in the flange 39 of the container 1 after a retainer 34 is slidingly moved in the direction A by loosing a bolt 38 at first, and the cover 1' is arranged on the gasket 12. Then, the retainer 34 is slid in the direction opposite to the direction A and then is abutted against the flange end part 40' of the cover 1'. Thereafter, the gap between the lower surface of the retainer 34 and the upper end face of a fixture body 40 is reduced by tightening a bolt 38 so that the flange bent parts 40, 40' of the container 1 and the cover 1', and as well the flanges 39, 39' thereof, are pressed against each other, thereby the gasket 12 is compressed for providing air-tightly sealing. |
