PURPOSE:To enhance the running property and durability, by irradiating a coated layer such as a magnetic layer and by coating the surface of the irradiated layer with a polymerizable lubricant. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic layer contg. a resin capable of generating free radicals on being irradiated as a binder is formed on a support by coating, and the layer is irradiated by about 0.1-20 megarad. The irradiated layer is then coated with a lubricant having polymn. activity to form a top coat layer. The lubricant is an unsatd. fatty acid deriv. represented by the general formula (where R is a 1-18C aliphatic hydrocarbon group which may have fluorine as a substituent, R' is H or methyl, and X is -O- or -NH-), perfluoroolefin, ester of polyol with higher fatty acid and (meth)acrylic acid, or ester of higher fatty acid with hydroxyalkyl ester of (meth)acrylic ester. |
