PURPOSE:To prevent an offensive smell from being given off when an oilstove is extinguished, by extinguishing the oilstove with the fuel sucking section and the fuel out of contact with each other. CONSTITUTION:The tip of a cylinder 6 can be swung by rotating a handle 7, and when the tip is lowered, it is submerged in a fuel tank 8, while when the tip is raised, it moves from the fuel tank 8 to be displaced to the position 6'. Following the swing of the cylinder 6, the tip of the sucking wick 4 is swung so that the tip can be brought in contact or out of contact with the petroleum in the fuel tank 8. In other words, during the contact of the tip of the sucking wick 4 with the petroleum in the fuel tank, the supply of the fuel to the wick 3 continues, while when they are out of contact, the supply of the fuel to the wick 3 is stopped to extinguish the oilstove. Thus as the supply of air is enough to perform complete combustion while the petroleum remaining in the wick 3 is burning, an offensive smell can be prevented from being given off. |
