PURPOSE:To eliminate the radiation loss and make the additional heating of the water in bathtub possible by a method wherein a large quantity of water is stored only when a large quantity of water consumption is expected and ordinarily the storage of a small quantity of hot water is allowed and, in addition, the stored hot water and the hot water in the bathtub or the like can be heat-exchanged with each other. CONSTITUTION:A hot water storage tank 21 and a cistern located above the tank 21 are communicated to each other with a feed pipe 24 equipped with a solenoid valve 23. A first water level switch 27 and a second water level switch 28 are arranged at the lower and upper parts of the hot water storage tank 21 respectively. The water level in the hot water storage tank 21 is controlled by opening and closing the solenoid valve 23 using the first water level switch, when a small quantity of hot water consumption is expected, and the second water level switch 28, only when a large quantity of hot water consumption is expected. A water heater 32 and the hot water storage tank 21 are respectively connected to each other with a circulating pipe 33 and a circulating pipe 34, at the discharge side of the tank 21 of which a circulating pump 35 is provided and to which a branch pipe led to a heat exchanger 36 is connected by means of a three-way valve 37 in order to heat-exchange between the stored hot water and the hot water in the bathtub at the heat exchanger 36. |
