PURPOSE:To prevent the lowering of the temperature of service hot water in low temperature seasons by a method wherein the quantity of supply water is controlled in proportion to the temperature at the inlet port or the outlet port of a heat exchanger. CONSTITUTION:A valve seat port 13 is provided at the inlet port of a water circuit A equipped with the heat exchanger 2 heated by the burner 3 and a throttle valve 12 is arranged opposite the valve seat port 13. The throttle valve 12 is linked to a reversible disk-like bimetal 11 having an upper surface of a suitable radius of curvature and is provided with a throughhole 14 so that when the temperature of the supply water lowers below a predetermined value, the valve seat port 13 is closed to reduce the quantity of the supply water so that the temperature of the service hot water is prevented from lowering. |
