PURPOSE:To attain the improvement of picture quality by means of double writing, by determining the minimum unit of amount of feed toward the subscanning direction at each main scanning to a fraction of the amount of feed at each main scanning at a maximum scanning line density of the recorder. CONSTITUTION:At an unit pulse generator 10, a unit drive pulse comprising a plurality of consecutive pulses is generated, every time a control pulse from a control circuit 40 is applied. A pulse motor drive circuit 20 amplifies this unit drive pulse and outputs a polyphase pulse signal possible for the drive of a pulse motor 30. The pulse motor 30 is rotated by a rotary angle in response to the pulse of the pulse signal to drive recording paper stepwise in the subscanning direction. The control circuit 40 takes a signal switching and selecting the scanning line density of a recorder and a start signal for line synchronism as inputs and generates the control pulse. |
