PURPOSE:To obtain dense and firm sintered matter that can be reused, and to prevent noxious matters such as heavy metals from elusion, by incinerating dried sludge in a first fluidized bed at a specified temperature or below so as to make the ignition loss to be a specified value or below, and then incinerating the resulting incinerated ash in a second fluidized bed at a specified temperature or below. CONSTITUTION:The concentrated sludge in a settling basin A is fed via a dehydrator B, a granulating and drying apparatus 2, a belt conveyor 1', and a screw feeder 7 to a first fluidized furnace 9, where it is fluidized and incinerated at temperatures of 600-900 deg.C so as to make the ignition loss to be 5% or less, and the resulting incinerated ash is further incinerated at temperatures of 1,000- 1,250 deg.C in a second fluidized bed furnace 12 to obtain the sintered matter. |
