PURPOSE:To bend a material upward and downward in both directions, by attaching a downward-bending blade to an upper die to be capable of changing its upper and lower positions against the die and a upward-bending blade to a lower die freely movably in the vertical directions, and making a pushing member provided to the upper die push the downward-bending blade upward. CONSTITUTION:When a material W to be worked is set to the prescribed position on a punch 2, and an upper die 3 is lowered, a pad 4 is abutted first to the material W to hold and fix it with the aid of the punch 2. In this state, the edge part of material W projects a little to the side of each bending blade 5 and 6. When the die 3 is lowered further, the downward-bending blade 6 is pushed down to the lower limit position by an adjusting plate 10, and the downward bending of a flange is performed because the lower end of the blade 6 is positioned below the lower surface of the pad 4 locating at its upper limit position. Further, when the plate 10 is taken ut from between the die 3 and the blade 6 by retreating it, and the die 3 is lowered after interposing an adjusting block 15 between a push rod 12 and the die 3, an upward-bending blade 5 is pushed up by a lever 13 to perform the upward bending of the flange. |
