PURPOSE:To obtain a liquid crystal cell of uniform cell thickness by injecting liquid crystal under condition that satisfies P0>P1>P2 where P0 is the pressure of open air in contact with a substrate, P1 is the pressure of open air at an injection hole, and P2 is the pressure of the part of a cell not yet filled. CONSTITUTION:When P0 is the pressure of open air in contact with the substrate of a liquid crystal 1, P1 is the pressure of open air at an injection hole 3, P2 is the pressure of the part in the cell 1 not yet filled, liquid crystal is injected under the condition that satisfies P0>P1>P2. By making the pressure P1 of open air at the part of injection hole where the liquid crystal is in contact with the open air smaller than the pressure P0 of open air that presses the substrate to bring it into close contact, pressure difference between inside and outside of the cell near the injection hole is made sufficiently large, and then the liquid crystal is injected. Thus, occurrence of waviness of the substrate can be prevented, and the thickness of the liquid crystal element becomes uniform. |
