PURPOSE:To provide the titled material excellent in heat-sensitive color forming property, preservability or the like and suitable for plastic packaging labels, by a method wherein a heat-sensitive color formint layer comprising a specified color former, a specified color developer and a specified binder is provided on a base, and a specified protective layer is provided thereon. CONSTITUTION:The heat-sensitive color forming layer comprising 1-30wt% of at lseat one fluoran derivative of any one of formulasI-III (wherein each of R1, R2, R5, R6 is H, lower alkyl; each of R3, R4 is H, lower alkyl, cycloalkyl or the like; X is halogen, lower alkyl) as a color former, 10-90wt% of a p- hydroxybenzoic acid ester of formula IV (wherein R7 is lower alkyl; R8 is H, halogen, alkyl) as a color developer and 5-50wt% of an ammonium salt of a compolymer of disobutylene with maleic anhydride as a binder is provided on the base, and a water-solubel high polymeric layer containing a polyethylene glycol base surfactant having an HLB value of 4-15 is provided thereon as the protective layer to obtain the objective material. |
