PURPOSE:To simplify the transmission system and to prevent the deterioration in the displayed picture quality, by converting a digital signal discriminating colors into an analog signal at luminance signal frequency band at a D/A converter and transmitting this signal as a color picture signal. CONSTITUTION:The digital signal discriminating the colors of picture elements in picture information is written in a picture memory 1 at the horizontal blanking period given from a CPU or the vertical blanking period. The signal is read out continuously with an address from H counters 3, 4 at a period in addition to the write period. Reference picture information representing the reference color is generated with ROMs 1, 2 connected to a switch 9 and the counter 3, 4 connected to the memory 1 and the information read out from the memory 1 is applied to a D/A converter 10. The analog signal at the luminance signal frequency band is outputted from the converter 10 and applied to an adder 12 via a switch 11. The analog signal is transmitted as a color picture signal, to simplify the transmission system and to prevent the deterioration in the picture quality. |
