PURPOSE:To prevent each lock seaming roll from floating up and coming off, and to perform a lock seaming surely and efficiently, by providing plural groups of lock seaming rolls, used for lock seaming upper edges of vertically set thin plate materials, by projecting the rolls downward from an outer box successively in the order of lock seaming while adjusting their projecting heights to said order. CONSTITUTION:Plural groups of lock seaming rolls 8, 9, 10, and 11, used for lock seaming the upper edges of vertically set thin plate materials[joint part (a)], are provided drivably to the inside of an outer box 1 by projecting the rolls 8, 9, 10, and 11 downward from the box 1 successively in the order of seaming while adjusting their projecting heights to said order. Accordingly main rolls 8a, 9a, 10a, and 11a and subrolls 8b, 9b, 10b, and 11b of the rolls 8, 9, 10, and 11 are constituted so that the front side of the rolls inclines slightly toward the advancing direction from the side view. Therefore the rotations of the rolls 8, 9, 10, and 11 act to lift the material, and then the rolls 8, 9, 10, and 11 are prevented from floating up and coming off. |
