PURPOSE:To improve the strength of tight adhesion between the tread rubber and base band of a solid tire for a capsule transportation system, in which the tread rubber and the base band or the wheel rim are bonded on each other by vulcanization, by stratifying and embedding rubberized reinforcing layers in the tread rubber. CONSTITUTION:Rubberized reinforcing layers 13 are stratified and embedded at a prescribed thickness in tread rubber 11 near a base band 12. The reinforcing layers 13 are integrally bonded to the tread rubber 11 by vulcanization. The fiber cords 14 of the layers 13 are oriented in parallel with or across the circumferential direction of the base band 12. A distance t2 not less than 0.3mm. and not more than 1.5mm. is set between the base band 12 and the nearest cords 14. Since the fiber cords 14 contract during the vulcanization, the rubber under the cords is tightly fitted on the base band 12. The strength of tight adhesion between the tread rubber 11 and the base band 12 is thus improved. |
