PURPOSE:To provide a casting device which is small in size, is light in weight and can be installed anywhere, by constituting a movable die freely openable and closable with respect to a stationary die by means of a die mounting plate mounted to a cylinder shaft which is fixed to a stationary die plate on a subframe. CONSTITUTION:In the stage of casting a casting, a cylinder shaft 14 is extended by the operation of a cylinder 13 to move a movable die 9 mounted to a die mounting plate 10 and to mate the casting with a stationary die 8. A cylinder 3 is thereafter operated to extend a cylinder shaft 14 thereby rotating a subframe 5 around a shaft 6. The rotation is stopped in the upright position shown in the figure. Since a receiver 18 for molten metal is positioned horizontally in the upright position of the frame 5, molten metal is charged into a pouring cup 18. If the shaft 4 of the cylinder 3 is shortened gradually, the frame 5 tilts; therefore, the molten metal in the cup 18 is charged gently into the die formed of the die 8 and the die 9. When the cylinder 3 is stopped in the position where the frame 5 is horizontal, the die 8 and the die 9 are positioned upright, whereby the molten metal is packed thoroughly into the dies. |
