PURPOSE:To purify magnetic fluid easily and quickly, by packing a nonferromagnetic container with a filler consisting of a ferromagnetic substance, placing it in a magnetic field, by passing magnetic fluid through the filler. CONSTITUTION:The filler 6 of a ferromagnetic substance is packed into the filling chamber 5 of the nonferromagnetic container 1, the filters 7a and 7b are set at the both ends of the filling chamber, and the opposing magnets 7 and 7 are set at the outside of the filling chamber 5. Magnetic fluid is fed from the feed opening 2, passed through the filler 6, and discharged from the outlet 4. Particles having larger particle diameters in the magnetic field are sucked, attached to the surface of the filler 6, and separated from the magnetic field, while the magnetic fluid being transferred through the space between the filler 6, so that the magnetic fluid is purified. |
