PURPOSE:To increase the electromotive force induced in a detection coil by vibrating a distance between the coil and the tip of a magnetic pole at a frequency higher than that of a reproducing signal. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic pole 2 of a magnetic head is vibrated via a piezoelectric body 1 at a frequency higher then the frequency of the reproducing signal from a magnetic recording medium 4 and the distance between the coil 3 and the tip of the magnetic pole 2 is vibrated at the high frequency. The induced electromotive force increased with the high frequency signal subjected to amplitude modulation by the reproducing signal is generated in the coil 3 by the vibration and the signal is detected sufficiently even to a high density recording area. |
