TURNTABLE ACCESSORY FOR OVENS

Turntable for rotating food being cooked in a microwave oven including a spring motor which drives a rotatable platform upon which the food is mounted. The turntable is made of a material having a low loss tangent at microwave frequencies, and the spring motor is surrounded by a shielding enclosure which reflects microwaves. Preferably, the materials of which the turntable is made can also withstand temperatures of 500.degree.F so that the turntable can also be used in conventional ovens.
