PURPOSE:To enable the arbitrary selection of operating and non-operating stations in a tandem press which performs many kinds of combined pressing with one unit of press, by providing independent clutch mechanisms in each of stations. CONSTITUTION:Working stations A-F have clutch mechanisms in their respective clutch cases 6. When an electric motor M is started, a crank shaft 2 rotates and a connecting rod 5 moves upward or downward. To operate, for example, only the working stations A, D, F in this case, the clutch mechanisms are turned from off to on before the respective rods 5 of these stations arrive at their top dead points. Only the rods 5 were moved upward or downward till then but the rods 5 and cases 6 are moved upward or downward integrally when the clutch mechanisms are turned on, by which bottom plates 17, tie rods 16 and slides 11 are moved cooperatively as well. Since th respective working stations are operated selectively in the above-mentioned way, the adjustment of dies in the stage of test pressing is extermely simple. |
