PURPOSE:To lengthen the life of a heat-sensitive head by a method in which a preliminary heating element is provided on one or both ends of necessary heating elements to print a ticket and printing is made by biasing the heat- sensitive head. CONSTITUTION:A heating element is provided over an excessive range S on one side (both ends in Fig.) or both ends of heating element group provided in a range L necessary for using in the usual printing for a heat-sensitive head 1. By biasing the position of the head 1, printing is made while altering the using range of all the heat-sensitive elements. In the case of the heat-sensitive head 1 to print a ticket, its effect is remarkable particularly because using frequency for specific positions is high. The alteration of the using range is made by operating a position-indicating switch 12 additionally provided. |
