PURPOSE:To facilitate extending operation of a sail and afford said sail an even tensile force in such a way that a first rope for extending the sail is connected to a block which is arranged in a boom, and the end part of a second rope which is stretched to the block is engaged with the end part of the sail. CONSTITUTION:When a first rope 92 which is led out of a boom 3 is pulled, a block 91 is moved to the right direction, and tension of a sail is achieved by shifting the rear ends of upper and lower sails 4, 5 toward the rear end of the boom 3 by pulling the second rope 9 in the same direction. In this case, the second rope 9 has a small moving resistance because respective parts are moved on a sheave 73 and the second rope 9 is stretched to the block 91 and pulled. Accordingly an even tensile force is always given to the both sails 4, 5. Particularly, as the second rope 9 has its rear end which is stretched to an engaging tool 90 connected to the boom end 7 to achieve the function of a leading block, extending, operation is facilitated. |
