PURPOSE:To attain small size and light weight of a device and high reliability, by using an electrochromic filter and a color separation processing circuit and controlling the amount of incident light to a pickup element to a suitable level automatically without using a mechanical aperture. CONSTITUTION:An incident light from a lens 601 is stopped down at the electrochromic filter 602 and the image is formed on a CCD603. An object image is separated into three primary colors at the CCD603 and applied to the color separation processing circuits 605-607 via an amplifier 604. The circuits 605-607 amplify the three primary colors processingly, the signals are processed at an LDF, a matrix circuit 618 and an NTSC encoder 620 to output an NTSC signal output 621. This circuit is provided with an integrator 609, a drive circuit 612 generating a CCD drive pulse and a synchronizing signal, and an analog switch 610, the transmissivity of the filter 602 is controlled to control the amount of incident light to the CCD603 automatically. |
