PURPOSE:To provide a cold and hot storage equipment for a transport vehicle for food or the like, by providing a hot storage section including a hot water heat exchanger connected to an engine cooling section through a valve and by opening the valve and stopping refrigeration to perform hot storage by the heated cooling water of an engine. CONSTITUTION:When a hot storage switch is turned on for hot storage, electric power for cold storage is cut off and blowers 4a, 4b are driven through a series circuit formed. At that time, a solenoid valve 7 is opened so that the heated cooling water of an engine flows from an engine cooling section 5 to a hot water heat exchanger 1, and a blower 3 is also driven. Air heated by the heat exchanger 1 is diffused into a cold and hot storage chamber 31 by the blowers 3, 4a, 4b as shown by arrows A, to keep the chamber hot. When the temperature of the chamber 31 has reached a set level, a thermostat 17 acts to stop the blowers 3, 4a, 4b and close the valve 7. For cold storage, the valve 7 is closed, a refrigerator is driven and the blowers 4a, 4b are driven through a parallel circuit to send air as shown by arrows B. Hot storage is thus enabled by the cooling water of the engine. |
