PURPOSE:To provide a printer having a width reduced to about one half of the conventional width and a printing and issueing speed enhanced to about two times of the conventional speed, which comprises a paper-feeding means, an ink ribbon and a printing means. CONSTITUTION:A journal paper 1 is placed on rotatable rolled paper supporting rollers 2, 3, and is inserted between an upper paper guide 4 and a lower paper guide 5. The paper 1 is pressed against a journal feed roller 7, and is fed by rotating the roller 7. A receipt paper 8 is placed on rotatable rolled paper supporting rollers 9, 10 in such a condition that it can be fed out in a plane staggered from the plane in which the journal paper 1 is fed out, and it is inserted between the lower paper guide 5 and a frame 11. An end of a paper- clamping spring 6 is pressed against a receipt feed roller 12, and the receipt paper 8 is fed by rotating the roller 12. Paper-feeding motors are connected directly to the rollers 7, 12, respectively, to feed the journal paper 1 and the receipt paper 8. The journal paper 1 is taken up by a take-up shaft 15 after being passed through a position for printing by a printing head 13 and a platen 14, while the receipt paper 8 is cut after being printed with a stamp to issue a printed receipt to the customer. |
