PURPOSE:To prevent decrease of laser output on aging by arranging moisture absorbent in a circulation route of the laser medium in a gas-tight casing. CONSTITUTION:The decrease of laser output on aging is caused of an increase of steam in a laser medium. For moisture absorbent those materials are selected, which not only have high hygroscopic property but also do not discharge gas, which gives infection on electric discharge and laser output under reduced pressure and also do not selectively absorb laser medium gas. Zeoram is best suited for this purpose and this is exposed to air current at a place except the electric discharge part and the laser optical axis. By this method the laser output decrease on aging can be prevented and the output does not drop after the lapse of about 150 hours. |
