PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of toner contamination by restraining the flowing of the toners in a developing vessel in accordance with the detection signal from an inclination detector when an electrophotographic device inclines at a prescribed angle or above. CONSTITUTION:When a copying device inclines >=theta deg., the conductive ball 19 in a pipe 18 of an inclination detector mounted horizontally in the copying device moves to one end of the pipe 18 and the connection between electrodes 20 and 21 in the central part is released. Then, an arm 14 is released from a plunger 17, and the arm 14 is pulled by a spring 16 and rotates around a fulcrum P, thus forcing a magnetic member 15 mounted at one end of the arm 14 to contact tightly with the back of a developing vessel 12. The toners in the vessel 12 are restrained near an agitating bar 13 by the magnetic force of the magnetic member 15 so as not to scatter. Toner contamination is thus prevented even when the device is inclined inadvertently. |
