PURPOSE:To increase a compression ratio, prevent to damage during handling and improve the capacity of the compressor by a method wherein a plate-type suction valve, seated on the surface of a concave valve seat provided at the top surface of a piston, is attached so that the outer surface thereof is located at a position same as or lower than the top surface of the piston. CONSTITUTION:The top surface 2a of the piston 2 is formed with a recessed concave circular valve seat surface 8 at the central part thereof and the suction valve 10, consisting of a thin flexible metallic disc capable of opening and closing a suction port 9, is secured onto the surface 8 while the valve is constituted so that it is located at a position lower than the top surface 2a of the piston 2 when the valve is closed. When the piston 2 is descended, a compression chamber 4 is expanded, the suction valve 10 is opened and the suction port 9 is opened while a discharging valve 17 is closed and a discharging port 16 is closed, therefore, gas in a suction chamber 5 is induced into the compression chamber 4. Next, when the piston 2 is elevated, the compression chamber 4 is contracted and the suction valve 10 is closed while the discharging valve 17 is opened and the compressed gas is sent out forcibly. |
