<p>PURPOSE:To retrieve words efficiently, by inserting an address, where a modified word of a word is stored, in an area where the word is stored in an electronic dictionary and storing the address of the original form of this word in an area where the modified word is stored. CONSTITUTION:A word is stored in an ROM in the standardized state. The code of the spelling of the word is stored in an area 1. When one data consists of 8 bits, 256 characters and symbols are stored in the ROM. The code of its part of speech is stored in an area 2, and an address where its translated word is stored is stored in an area 3, and the code indicating its phonetic symbols is stored in an area 4, and its phonetic symbols are stored in an area 5. The code of modification is stored in an area 6, and an address where a modified spelling is stored is stored in an area 7. Codes, spellings, and translated words concerning idioms are stored in areas 8-10. The original form and modified forms of the word are stored in the area 1 and areas 6 and 7 respectively to make the retrieval efficient.</p> |
