PURPOSE:To prevent abnormal rise of water pressure in an iron pipe when operation of a water turbine is stopped, by connecting control rods to a piston rod of a servomotor used for opening and closing guide vanes, and actuating valves for detecting the opening of the guide vanes by the control levers. CONSTITUTION:The apparatus of this invention comprises a servomotor 18 for opening and closing guide vanes (not shown) via a piston rod 21 and valves for detecting the opening of the guide vanes, i.e., valves 16, 17 for detecting the closed positions of the guide vanes on the pumping side and on the generating side, respectively, and controls pumping and generating throttle valves 10, 11 respectively by the output hydraulic pressures of these valves 16, 17. Here, control rods 32, 33 are connected to the piston rod 21 perpendicularly to the same, and means 34, 35 for detecting movement of the control rods 32, 33 on the lines along which they are moved. Further, rods of the detecting valves 16, 17 are connected espectively to the means 34, 35 so that the valves 16, 17 are interlocked directly with the movement of the servomotor 18. |
