PURPOSE:To speed up the conversion processing to dot pattern data, by selecting character data to be selected and developed from a full character data memory to a high speed memory in a character processing system. CONSTITUTION:A titled system consists of a memory A1 storing dot pattern data of the whole ''kanji'' (Chinese character) or the like, a memory B4 storing a part of the contents in the memory A1 in accordance with uses, a table 3 registering the kinds of ''kanji'' stored in the memory B4, and a control part 2 controlling said devices functionally and the I/O of ''kanji'' codes and dot patterns between the system and an external device. When a ''kanji'' code is applied from the external device, the table is referred with priority; if the input code exists in the table 3, a dot pattern is read out from the memory B4, and in case of the absence of the input code, a dot pattern is read out from the memory A1 and outputted. Consequently, conversion from the ''kanji'' code to the dot pattern is attained at a high speed. |
