PURPOSE:To obtain always good spliced condition with a splicing arrangement, in which a thread end is set in a nozzle pipe and untwining is made under action of a jetting stream, by changing the jetting position of the stream in nozzle pipe in relation to the twining direction of the thread's own. CONSTITUTION:This untwining device has a thread-end untwining pipe 26 fitted in a nozzle hole 12 of block 28 slidably and rotatably and performs untwining of thread ends YB, YP when the YP on the package side is to be spliced with the one YB on the bobbin side. For untwining, the thread end YB introduced into a splicing hole 5 by vacuum force, which acts on the pipe 26, is sucked in the nozzle hole 12, and then the compressed fluid supplied to conduits 29, 30 is allowed to jet against the thread end YB out of a jet hole 27. Connection of jet hole 27 is changed over from the conduit 29 to 30 or vice versa by turning the pipe 26 approx. 90 deg. either in the regular or reverse direction according to the twining direction of the thread end YB for the purpose of having any necessary direction for jetting of the compressed fluid. |
