Induction channel melting furnace

The induction channel melting furnace has two coils which form the primary circuits of a transformer. Running around the coils are melting channels which form the secondary circuit of the transformer. The melting channels are connected to the furnace space and form essentially vertically running side ducts which are connected by a bottom duct. Between the bottom duct and the furnace hearth space there is a further central duct. In order to achieve a movement of the melt in the entire furnace space without forming stationary zones, the mutually parallel-running axes of the side ducts and the axis of the central duct - projected on a plane running transversely to the longitudinal axis of the bottom duct - form an acute angle with one another. <IMAGE>
