In a multi-colour printer in which the writing pens adjustable relative to a register sheet are held in a pen holder, in order to print out figures and the like on the register sheet or a paper web, for the purpose of guaranteeing the erasure of printed-out errors more simply and more quickly, whilst ensuring a compact design of the device, there is present on a displaceable carriage a rotatably mounted drum supporting the writing pens and fixable against rotation by a marking member in the printing region, said drum having a plurality of writing pens and an erasing member on the circumference, the pens are adjustable by means of a hammer, the drum is equipped with a ratchet wheel, and the drum can be rotated again by a release arm.
