PURPOSE:To cause no trouble under a low temperature, by providing a squeeze roll for removing a surplus developer adhering onto a latent image carrying body, and suitably heating its roll. CONSTITUTION:A developer after development drops from both end parts of a developing plate 2, is collected into a developer tank 3, and circulates in a developing device. A surplus developer adhering onto the surface of a photoreceptor 1 is removed by a squeeze roll 6 containing a heating element 5 such as a nichrome wire, etc. The developer removed by the roll 6 is collected into the developer tank 3 by a scraper 7. The heating element 5 is connected to an electric power source through an adjusting device, and at the time of a low temperature, a heating value is adjusted in accordance with its ambient temperature. By constituting in this way, a trouble of image failure, etc. such as ground stain, pooling, etc. which are generated due to a low temperature can be eliminated. |
