PURPOSE:To detect the abrasion of gears easily, by holding one gear restrained and rotating the other gear in one direction until said gear is stopped by the restrained gear then measuring the number of revolutions while rotating said gear in the opposite direction and comparing the same with a set value. CONSTITUTION:An auxiliary brake 10 is energized by the command of a main control circuit 11, by which a drum 1 is restrained. When an auxiliary motor 7 is run foward, the drum 1 is held restrained and a gear 4d cannot rotate; therefore, the motor 7 stops as well after rotating to a certain extent. The motor 7 is then run reverse, and the outputs of an encorder 8 by the revolutions of the gears 4a, 4b are read. When the gears 4b, 4c begin to rotate further, the encoder 8 is changed over to an encorder 9. The backlashes among the gears 4a- 4c are measured from the outputs of the encoders 8, 9. The measured values are compared with the set values of a setter 15 in an subtractor 14, and when the measured values exceed the set value, a lamp of a display device 15 is lighted. The abrasion of the gears 4a-4c is thus detected easily. |
