PURPOSE:To detect fuel with high accuracy without being influenced by an external noise, by specularly treating the surface of a rotating ball, and detecting its rotating period by an optical fiber. CONSTITUTION:The surface of a ball 9 which executes a rotating motion in an annular fuel path is surface-treated in order to reflect light, and light emitted from one end of a detector body passes through a lens 19, is reflected by the surface of the ball 9, and is led to an operating circuit 13 through an optical fiber 16. The reflected light becomes intermittent light having a period being in proportion to a rotating period of the ball 9, and by photoelectrically converting this light by the circuit 13, it can be fetched as an electric pulse being in proportion to a flow rate of fuel. |
