In a mirror which can be heated electrically, a PTC thermistor is inserted into a base, of plate-shaped construction, of a thermally conductive metal sheet whose side facing the mirror is covered by a covering metal sheet so that the PTC thermistor is located between the covering metal sheet and the thermally conductive metal sheet in a protected manner. The potentials on the top and bottom of the PTC thermistor can be picked off on the thermally conductive metal sheet and on the covering metal sheet by contact tongues. The safe-like accommodation of the PTC thermistor and the making of contact by means of contact tongues make possible accommodation and electrical connection without any soldering process and the production of the mirror according to the invention can take place essentially by placing the relevant components one on top of the other.
