A device is proposed which is used for decelerating objects. In development of the invention according to Patent Application P 3148269.4, provision is made for an eddy current braking device (10, 11) to act as load moment on a home trainer (25) to simulate various driving conditions. For this purpose, the eddy current device (11) is combined with a home trainer (25), known per se, in such a manner that the rotary movement of the drums (26 to 28) can be decelerated. <IMAGE>
