<p>PURPOSE:To provide a recording liquid containing a water-soluble dye as a recording agent, exhibiting clear red color, having high long-term solution stability and decreased clogging tendency, by using C.I. Acid Red 51 in combination with C.I. Acid Yellow 23 as the water-solubel dye. CONSTITUTION:The objective recording liquid for ink jet recording is prepared by compounding C.I. Acid Red 51 with C.I. Acid Yellow 23 preferably at a ratio of 1:0.5-1:2, and dissolving the obtained water-soluble dye in a liquid medium composed mainly of water, preferably an aqueous medium containing 20-50wt% water-soluble organic solvent such as a polyhydric alcohol (lower alkyl ether), e.g. diethylene glycol, etc. EFFECT:The liquid can be stored without causing change in physical properties nor precipitation of solid components. It can be recroded to various materials without restriction on the kinds of the material to be recorded. It has high fixing rate and gives a record having excellent water resistance, light resistance, abrasion resistance and sharpness.</p> |
