Printing apparatus for printing labels or tags in stripform is composed mainly of molded plastics components which are relatively few in number, is easy to manufacture and maintain, and is lightweight and portable. The apparatus can be mounted on a table top and can print both standard type tags and labels, string tags and pin tickets supplied from a reel R, positionable at different attitudes. The apparatus has a print head 44 operable in conjunction with an impression control device, a feed finger assembly 86 with a registration adjustment, a simple drive arrangement powered by a crank handle or an electric motor 52 and including a cam 57 with a single cam path, and a reel. The feed finger assembly 86 and print head 44 are both operated by a single cam path on the end face of the cam 57 through separate cam followers and linkages. <IMAGE> |
